Natural Disaster Assistance
The Australian Government has funded the Small Business Advisory Services program Natural Disaster Assistance (SBAS NDA) to assist small businesses that have been directly or indirectly affected by the natural disasters that have occurred in Australia since October 2010. It complements the assistance provided by State Government programs. The SBAS NDA will run from June 2011 to May 31, 2012.
SBAS NDA offers advice from experienced business advisors and mentors in areas such as:
- mentoring for business
- business planning advice
- loans and banking products
- simple marketing plans
- legal and accounting services
- leasing guidance
- government regulation
- training programs
- national referrals to appropriate organisations
- industry specific assistance
- counselling services such as Beyond Blue, Red Cross and the Salvation Army
